West via Gandy Blvd

Closest beach to Valrico. Small but convenient. Great for a quick sunset trip after work.

St. Pete Beach

West via I-275

~45 miles

Wide white sand, calm Gulf water. Pass-a-Grille at the south end is quieter and more local.

Clearwater Beach

West/Northwest via SR-60 or I-275

The big tourist beach. Beautiful water, lots of restaurants, crowded on weekends. Pier 60 sunset celebration is worth seeing once.

Anna Maria Island

Southwest via I-75 to US-301

Old Florida charm. No high-rises, no chain restaurants. Worth the extra drive for a quieter, more authentic beach day.

Honeymoon Island

Northwest via SR-580

Consistently rated one of the best beaches in America. Worth the drive. Dog beach, kayaking, historic fort, and pristine sand.

Drive times are estimates from central Valrico (SR-60 & Valrico Rd) in normal traffic. Weekend and holiday traffic to Clearwater and St. Pete can add 15-30 minutes.
