Hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30. Every Valrico household should have: 3-7 days of water and non-perishable food, flashlights and batteries, a battery-powered radio, important documents in a waterproof bag, a full tank of gas in your car, and cash on hand. Know your evacuation zone (most of Valrico is Zone E — unlikely to evacuate, but verify your address). Get hurricane shutters or impact windows. Trim trees away from your roof. Have a portable generator or know where to get one.
