What are Florida's car insurance requirements?
Answered by Mike T.
Florida requires a minimum of $10,000 in Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and $10,000 in Property Damage Liability (PDL) — this is called a no-fault state. Florida does not require bodily injury liability as a minimum, though most lenders and financial advisors strongly recommend it. New Florida residents must update their insurance to a Florida policy within 90 days.
