What is the Florida Strawberry Festival and is it near Valrico?

The Florida Strawberry Festival is one of the biggest events in the Tampa Bay area. It's held every year in late February/early March in Plant City, which is about 15 minutes east of Valrico. Eleven days of rides, concerts (major national acts), strawberry shortcake, livestock shows, and fried everything. Valrico residents consider it a local tradition. Parking is a challenge — go on a weekday if you can.
