These kinds of investments directly impact the families living here in our area, and it's encouraging to see organizations stepping up to support our educators and students.

Speaking of community support, Polk County Libraries are putting on a full slate of free programs for all ages this month. Whether you're looking for something to do or want to explore what your local library has to offer beyond books, there's something happening. It's one of those resources we sometimes take for granted, but having quality programming available at no cost is a real asset for families and individuals in our community.

August brought some positive momentum for our local business scene. The "Eye On Business" coverage for Riverview shows there's plenty of activity happening in our neighboring communities, and that energy tends to ripple through the greater Tampa Bay area.
