Alafia River State Park is one of the best mountain biking destinations in all of Florida. It has 17+ miles of singletrack trails with actual elevation changes, roots, and technical features you don't normally find in flat Florida. Riders come from all over the state. The park hosts races and group rides regularly. Balm Boyette Scrub Nature Preserve in Riverview is another option with solid trails. Both are within 20 minutes of Valrico.
