Ruskin is an agricultural and working-class community on the Little Manatee River about 25 miles south of Tampa, known for its tomato farms and access to the river and Tampa Bay. Sun City Center, adjacent to Ruskin, is one of the largest 55+ retirement communities in the country with golf cart-accessible neighborhoods and a full suite of amenities for active retirees. If you're not 55+, Sun City Center isn't really for you, but Ruskin has affordable family housing nearby.
