South Hillsborough has Alafia River State Park in Lithia, E.G. Simmons Regional Park in Ruskin (great for fishing and camping on Tampa Bay), and Little Manatee River State Park near Wimauma for kayaking and hiking. Boyette Springs Park and other community parks are scattered throughout Riverview's neighborhoods. The Tampa Bay shoreline along Apollo Beach and Ruskin also provides informal access to the bay.
